Need plans for the weekend? The Greek Independence Day Parade returns to Manhattan on April 22nd. Bring out your blue and white, for the commemoration of the 197th Anniversary of Greek Declaration of Independence. Organized by the Federation of Hellenic Societies of Greater New York (FHSGNY), the parade will present an afternoon of marching bands, history, and culture. The parade celebrates Greek independence from the Ottoman Empire, but it is also a celebration of Hellenic culture. Many people from around the world.
